Although some dental professionals insist on their patients using real floss, these water flossers come in handy for quickly removing stuff that gets stuck in hard-to-reach places.

Using regular floss is the best way to get stubborn plaque and other nasty critters out from between your teeth.

But an oral irrigator does an amazing job of getting the gunk out. It might take some getting used to, since there’s a jet of water meeting rock hard teeth, but once you’re used to it, you’ll use it all the time.

Of the two water flossers featured in this post, the Waterpik has by far the best rating. But the hf-8whisper also carries a fat rating on Amazon, which means it comes down to personal choice.
